Effective July 29, 2026. RoofingEye ("we") provides roofing-business software to roofing companies ("customers"). This policy covers the RoofingEye iOS app and API.
Account data: name, email, company name, and password hash for each user a customer invites. Business records: leads, proposals, signatures, job records, photos, and notes your company creates in the app. This is your company's data; we process it to run the service. Location: the app uses device location to center maps, stamp job-site photos, and order canvassing routes; location is used in-session and stored only as coordinates attached to records your team creates (e.g., a photo's capture point). Diagnostics: crash and performance reports from Apple's MetricKit framework, associated with your account so we can fix what broke for you.
RoofingEye displays real-estate information compiled from public government sources: municipal assessor rolls (obtained under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act), recorded building permits, storm data from NOAA, and aerial/derived roof geometry. This information relates to properties, is a matter of public record, and is provided for lawful business prospecting. We do not sell this data, and we do not combine it with consumer credit, financial, or other regulated data. Property owners may contact us at support@roofingeye.app to ask that their record be suppressed from prospecting displays.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your company's business records for advertising. We do not track users across other companies' apps or websites.
Data is shared only with the infrastructure processors that run the service (Google Cloud and Supabase for database and hosting; Apple for push notifications), and within your own company per the roles your owner assigns. We disclose data if the law requires it.
Deleting your own account. Account → Delete account, in the app, removes your name, email address, and password from RoofingEye and ends your sign-in immediately. Records you created for your company (leads, photos, proposals, job records) stay with that company, no longer attributed to you by name. Notes and messages your team typed by hand may still mention you; we do not rewrite what people wrote.
Deleting a company owner's account. The owner's personal data is removed on the same terms, and the company is suspended: everyone loses access immediately, and the company's business records are held for 90 days and then deleted. During those 90 days the former owner may write to support@roofingeye.app to have the company restored under a new owner account. Registering again in the app does not reach the held records; it creates a new, empty company. After 90 days the company's records, including stored photos, are deleted and cannot be restored.
We keep what the law requires, including transaction and tax records and anything under legal hold. Deleted records can remain in encrypted database backups until those backups rotate; they are not restored to the live service. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription. That is cancelled in the App Store subscription settings on your device.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest; access is isolated per company (row-level security); signatures and photos are stored in access-controlled storage.
RoofingEye is a business tool and not directed at children under 13.
